WeLift Foundation, Inc was established to join our voice to the chorus of voices around the world, who felt called to lift their voices and rolled up their sleeves to render much needed services or assistance to uplift their fellow human beings who were (or are) in need. In case you are wondering, why the need for another organization such as WeLift? Well by simply, looking around the world, it becomes all too apparent that there is still a great need for more of such organizations to join in the fight against injustice, poverty, illiteracy, hunger, unemployment, crime, poor housing, desperate migration, environmental degradation etc. And surely, just as we need more of such organizations, we need more creative people joining in the fight to improve how we serve humanity through non-profit organizations or NGOs (Non-governmental Organizations). Access Barriers:
Many children still lack access to quality education due to factors like distance, poverty, and inadequate infrastructure.
Disparities in educational quality persist, affecting learning outcomes and future prospects. With your help we can make a difference
Post-Conflict Legacy:
Liberia’s history of civil conflict left scars on its education system. Rebuilding trust, infrastructure, and educational institutions remain a challenge. Encouraging active youth participation in governance, decision-making, and community development require sustained efforts.
Community Empowerment
In two rural communities, in Liberia, WeLift has been working closely with parents, teachers, and community leaders since 2018. In one area, we built a computer lab and provided school supplies. In another area, we renovated a school, provided school supplies, and restored water on the school campus. Further, we renovated a part of the home of an elderly lady. Based on our vision and goals, WeLife intends to engage and empower many more communities in Liberia and outside Liberia.
